You and Your Dog’s Practice Deepens Here!

Learn the most basic principles to influence your dog’s behavior. Many of us deal with daily behavior challenges at home. We teach our children to respect and trust us— especially in new environments and changing situations. Our dogs require very similar household rules with established boundaries and limitations to both feel safe and loved.

Every day you and your dog undergo new and exciting situations requiring consistent leadership skills. Some events are exactly the same and you have probably even conditioned yourself to predict, react and avoid your dog’s unruly behavior — leash reactivity, excessive pulling/barking, jumping, separation anxiety, nipping and sofa surfing are all easily correctable behaviors.

The Dog Masters teaches pet parents and canine professionals how to best manage stress, space and modify their dogs behavior at home and in the field.

Each class specifically covers leash pulling, reactivity, obsessive compulsive tendencies, whining and barking, chewing and working with submissive and dominant mannered dogs. Classes focus on all life stages training, so every dog owner will find something of value.

As efficiently as we can, we will address each behavior obstacle and how to overcome it. Some of our classes will stay inside, others will go outside.

At The Dog Masters, we face our fears, stretch our minds and hone our skills together. Our classes are design for all levels of humans and dogs including puppies. We will prepare for everything you need to start class.

Like any new habit or technique, walking with your dog takes practice. Since these classes are designed for beginners and intermediates, you can come back as often as you like.

We ask our students to follow the same rules we ask of our dogs with each other. Please respect one another when unwanted behaviors come up. The goal is to learn from fellow classmates experience and judgement is unnecessary and unwelcome.

All participants must take the Beginner Class before signing up for the Intermediate classes. The Beginner Class is human only, no dogs.

Essential questions answered:

  • Why do my dog and I need to have mutual respect?

  • What does respect look like with my dog?

  • How do I cultivate a respectful relationship with my dog?

  • Why are rules, boundaries and limits with my dog important?

  • What do those look like? How do I create rules?

  • Why is my dog’s nutrition, diet and well care important and why are we talking about in conjunction with dog behavior?

  • What exactly is good nutrition for a dog?

  • How do I go well care for my dog in a way that works for me and my family?

The Intermediate Class

Learn the secret to dog behavior quickly. Practice interconnected rituals, principles and corrections to your daily behavior challenges. The Dog Masters principles are built on the foundation of respect, trust and love for all life stage training.

Classes will shift as behaviors arise. We allow plenty of time for shares. Shares are encouraged, but not required. After all, dog behavior is strongly influenced by human behavior and your dog may end up sharing for you.

Our classes are highly interactive. Be prepared to move, go on a walk, sit and be still with your dog. We keep classes small in order to get individual time with you and your dog. All dogs must be on a leash. Bringing your dog to class is optional. Any life stage is included. Puppies must be over 12 weeks. Like any new behavior it takes consistency to implement into our daily practice. Please come back as often as you like.

We ask our students to follow the same rules we ask of our dogs with each other. Please respect one another when unwanted behaviors come up. The goal is to learn from fellow classmates experience and judgement is unnecessary and unwelcome.
