This Meetup is more than a social walk, it's a walk with a dog behavior focus to address leash pulling, obsession with other dogs, whining, lunging at rabbits, water obsession and other social behaviors. Anything you typically experience with your dog on a walk.
Before we can hike, we have to start with the most basic walk.
I'm Kirk Cushing, owner of The Dog Masters, a dog behavior consulting company based in Lakewood serving the Greater Denver area.
We offer a few free Meetups each month similar to the group classes we will start offering in August 2017. You can sign up atwww.dogmastersusa.com.
These Meetups give you a taste for what those group sessions at The Dog Masters are like.
We will stop often to discuss behaviors and create the behaviors we want and overcome the behaviors we don't want. There is much to learn from each other.
We'll walk around the lite hiking trails at Bear Creek Greenway. The total walk is between 1 and 2 miles.
Once you RSVP in the Meetup.com App, we will message you with a link to our online Group Training Release. Please sign it before attending the session.
We highly encourage you to bring your dog over 2 months. You can come by yourself if you wish. Without your dog, you are an observer with your dog, you are are an ACTIVE participant dealing with the same behavior challenge we face at one point or another.
The dogs don't count in the RSVP count.
